**2026 REGISTRATION INFO**

Time to get registered for VABA summer baseball, softball, and t-ball.

 

Registration for all ages (except t-ball) runs through February 15.

Late registrations open February 16 through February 28 for an additional $20 and team placement is not guaranteed. T-ball registrations accepted until March 31.

For softball (girls 8U on up), age is determined by their age as of September 1, 2025. For baseball (boys 8U on up), age is determined by their age as of January 1, 2026. 8U means they cannot be older than 8 years of age at the cutoff date. T-ball ages are 4-6 as of January 1, 2026 for girls and boys.

Val Ball relies on volunteers to keep costs down. All parents must work two concession stands per child. For an additional $100, you can "buy" your way out of working concessions.

​

Those who are interested in coaching will be invited to a coaches meeting in mid-March where teams are selected.

For all teams except t-ball, practices begin late-March/early-April. Practice days and times are set by the coaches during the coaches meeting when teams are decided.

For 8U, 10U, and 12U baseball and softball, games typically start the 1st week in May and run through the end of June. Typically 2 games per week. Mondays and Wednesdays are softball games. Tuesdays and Thursdays are baseball games. There may be some teams that also play in tournaments besides the league tournament, but that is decided by each team individually and the fee is not included in the registration fee. League tournaments are in June, that fee is included in the registration fee.

For 14U, 16U/18U, and Jr/S, games typically start in May and run through July (August if Sr Legion makes State). Game schedule is set by the coaches but typically 2 games per week.

For t-ball, practices are usually Sunday afternoon/evenings unless the coach chooses a different day. Games are typically Sunday late afternoon/evening except for the weekend of Val Days in which that game is played on that Friday in conjunction with Val Days.

 

Information on uniform orders will be provided at a later time.

Baseball jerseys and hats are same as last year. Softball jerseys are same as last year. T-ball shirts are included with the registration.
