Concession Stand Volunteers
​
3 concession stand volunteers are required for each game on Field 1
-
Two volunteers must be adults.
-
One volunteer may be age 14 or older
-
One volunteer is responsible for operating the grill
-
We ask that volunteers assist with cleanup/restocking at the end of their shift
Volunteer Arrival Times:
-
First Game: Arrive 20 minutes before game time
-
Second Game: All volunteers should report at the conclusion of the previous game
-
Third Game: All volunteers should report at the conclusion of the previous game

Post-Game Field Cleanup
​
Coaches, players, and parents are asked to assist with field cleanup following each game. Players should remain until cleanup is completed.
​
Tasks Include:
-
Rake around the bases, pitcher's mound, and home plate
-
Sweep and clean both dugouts
-
Pick up trash around the bleachers and spectator areas
-
Empty dugout and bleacher trash containers into the large dumpster north of Field 1
​
End-of-Night Responsibilities (Last Game Only)
​
In addition to the standard cleanup tasks above, the last teams of the evening are responsible for:

Removing bases and inserting base plugs
-
Emptying restroom trash containers
-
Restocking toilet paper, paper towels, and soap as needed
-
Turning off field lights
-
Locking the restrooms and equipment shed
​
Crow's Nest Responsibilities
​
After games are completed:
-
Remove all trash and place it in the appropriate receptacle
-
Return the Field 1 controller to cabinet
-
Return the Field 2 controller to equipment bag and hang it on the designated hooks
-
Close and secure all doors when finished
-
Important: The Village of Valparaiso requests that no one sit on the ledge of the Field 1 Crow's Nest

Batting Cage Rules
​
1. No spikes on turf - Metal spikes may be worn in batters box and on rubber matting only
2. No seeds in batting cage
3. Clean up any trash in and around the batting cages
4. Players should enter at back of cage with cleats on
​
Required Coach Training
​
All coaches are required to take the following training. You will be provided a certificate at the completion of the training.

Concussion Training (Choose One):

Please email copies of all completed certificates to:
VABA leases these facilities from the Village of Valparaiso. Any damage that occurs during use of the ballpark facilities may result in repair costs being billed to VABA. Please help us keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained.
